Community-Led Gatherings
Gatherings at Drawing Room are casual touch-points for us to connect and hang out over a shared activity.
We’re inviting Drawing Room members (and previous Journey participants) to share their interests, passions, and skills by hosting an event or leading an activity in collaboration with Drawing Room!
Selected events will be organized in collaboration with the Drawing Room team and hosted for the Drawing Room community. We will provide you the space to host your event at no cost, and support you with logistics and marketing. The hosted event will be free for our members.
You must be a member or previous Journey participant to qualify to lead a session.
How Your Idea Might Come to Life
Community-Led Open Hours Activity
A casual, self-led activity that takes place alongside regular Open Hours. You bring the idea and lead the activity; we provide the space and access to any agreed-upon Drawing Room resources. Participants join Open Hours as usual — members use their membership, and non-members purchase a Day Pass.
These activities are intentionally simple and low-lift, and may not appear on our public calendar or receive additional promotion from Drawing Room.
Community-Led Gathering
Sometimes, an idea feels like a great fit for the broader Drawing Room community, and we'll invite the proposer to work with us to develop it into an official Gathering. In these cases, Drawing Room may provide additional support such as registration, materials, staffing, calendar placement, or promotion. We'll work with you to determine the format and admission structure.

Submitting an idea doesn't guarantee that we'll be able to host it, and an approved Open Hours Activity won't necessarily become an official Drawing Room Gathering. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, based on fit, timing, capacity, and our programming calendar. Events that require minimal additional materials (i.e. can use materials in our Art Library or Game Library) are more likely to be selected.
